A code-compliant LED exit sign that plugs into a standard 120V outlet and makes passing your inspection easy! The CLX-RB-BB-CS is a red LED exit sign with a plug-in cord. It is single-sided and can be mounted to the ceiling (with the included mounting bracket) or to the wall (back mount). The Black Plug-In Exit Sign includes a nickel-cadmium battery backup, which keeps the exit sign on for a minimum of 90 minutes during a power outage.

The "CS" in CLX-RB-BB-CS stands for "cord set", which means that the unit comes with a plug-in cord, so that you don't have to connect the unit directly to electricity. The ability to plug in the exit sign makes it a great choice for a place that doesn’t have easy access to electricity but requires a code-compliant exit sign.

Features red LED lettering designed for clear visibility from up to 100 feet and black thermoplastic flame-retardant housing. The unit consumes only 3.1 watts of electricity per cycle when activated, and draws nearly zero power when AC is flowing through the circuit. Specifications

Unlike older exit signs you may be familiar with, LED exit signs do not contain heavy, short-lived sealed lead-acid batteries. Instead, they use long-lasting nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cd) cells, which are much cheaper to replace than sealed lead-acid batteries (SLA). This fixture will operate for a minimum of 90 minutes (though actual runtime is much longer) in the event of a power outage. The CLX-RB-BB-CS is UL listed for damp locations, so just about any indoor or outdoor (with sufficient protection from sun, rain, and snow) application is okay.
