Returned Goods Policy

The Lighting Source LLC will accept returns with prior authorization within 30 days of the delivery date. All returns will be by mail and the items must be in new condition. We will give full credit for merchandise returned due to defects, subject to the terms of the manufacturer's warranty. We will also issue full credit if the error with your order nor your fault, such as shipping the incorrect product, if the product is damaged by the carrier, or if it is defective in any other way.

Returns due to customer error or change in requirements will be subject to a 25% restocking charge and the outbound freight originally billed to the customer is not refundable. Return freight charges are covered by the customer seeking refund. We reserve the right to refuse return authorization for made-to-order custom manufactured fixtures. Return authorization may be requested emailing evan@thelightsource.co. We reserve the right to refuse unauthorized returns.

Freight Claims

All shipments are made FOB shipping point. In the event of loss or damage to a shipment, you must note any shortages or damages on the delivery receipt, and then request the delivering carrier to make an inspection. A claim must then be filed on the carrier without delay. Claims for concealed loss or damage must also be filed with the carrier immediately upon discovery. While we do not assume any responsibility for freight claims, we will provide reasonable assistance to help you bring about settlement with the transportation company.
