Emergency Ballasts
Emergency ballasts allow normal fluorescent lights to double as an emergency light, by providing battery power to 1 or 2 lamps after electrical power is lost. Emergency ballasts operate for a minimum 90 minutes in a situation where electricity is lost, the same length of time that emergency lighting fixtures normally operate. Emergency ballasts are UL924 Listed and can be used as an acceptable alternative to conventional emergency lights.
