It is single-sided and can be mounted to the ceiling (with the included mounting bracket) or to the wall (back mount). The White Corded Exit Sign has a nickel-cadmium battery backup, which keeps the exit sign on for a minimum of 90 minutes after power loss.

The "CS" in CLX-GB-BB-CS stands for "cord set", which means that the unit comes with a plug-in cord, so that you don't have to connect the unit directly to electricity. The plug-in design makes this exit sign an ideal solution for spaces without easy access to hardwired electricity that still require a code-compliant exit sign.

The white thermoplastic housing is flame-retardant, and the letters are green. The unit consumes only 3.1 watts of electricity per cycle when activated, and draws nearly zero power when AC is flowing through the circuit. Specifications

Unlike older exit signs, LED exit signs do not use heavy, short-lived sealed lead-acid batteries. Instead, they use long-lasting nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cd) cells, which are much cheaper to replace than sealed lead-acid batteries (SLA). This fixture will operate for a minimum of 90 minutes (though actual runtime is much longer) in the event of a power outage. The CLX-GW-BB-CS is UL listed for damp locations, making it suitable for most indoor and outdoor applications (with proper protection from sun, rain, and snow).
