The 902EX-U-WB-RC-BA-G2 comes equipped with Guardian Self-Test/Self-Diagnostics (G2), a factory-preset monitoring system that requires no field adjustments. It continuously monitors AC power, battery condition, and charging circuitry, using a bi-color LED indicator to provide instant visual notification of system status or faults for simplified maintenance and enhanced reliability.

The 902EX-U-WB-RC-BA-G2 is UL 924-compliant, includes battery backup, and remains illuminated at all times during regular operation. When the power goes out, it keeps running for at least 90 minutes, as required by code. It’s available in single-face (clear) or double-face (mirrored) versions and mounts easily to a wall, ceiling, or junction box using the included canopy.

Construction

The housing is made from solid cast aluminum with a brushed finish, giving it a clean, modern look that complements public buildings. The EXIT panel is a polished acrylic with softly rounded edges. The red EXIT lettering is molded directly into the panel, helping evenly spread the light across the face.

It includes a universal mounting bracket for wall, ceiling, or end mounting, plus stick-on directional arrows to point people where they need to go. Single-face signs stay clear, while double-face models use a mirrored insert to keep things looking open and uncluttered.

Battery

This model uses Nickel-Cadmium (Ni-Cd) batteries that provide 90 minutes of emergency lighting and recharges in about 24 hours. Ni-Cd batteries are known for their long lifespan, typically lasting 15 years or more.

A push-to-test button and LED indicator on the side of the housing make it easy to check that the sign is working correctly. If there’s an issue with the battery, LEDs, or wiring, the indicator lets you know.
